80 years ago the little hall at 269 Miller Street was re-opened by Miss Doris Fitton as the Independent Theatre. Hundreds of our Foundation Friends helped Dr. Seaborn restore this beautiful building in the 1990’s.
Come along and enjoy this talk down memory lane as our theatre historian Dr Carolyn Lowry, introduces some very Special Guests who remember the amazing contribution to the performing arts of the redoubtable Actress/Artistic Director Dame Doris Fitton.
Enjoy a light lunch with Foundation Friends in our friendly Seaborn Library, hear some fascinating theatrical tales and indulge in a little nostalgia with light music from a bygone era.
